Google Tests Private Ferry Service and Other News You Need to Know

Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world. Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. After angry protesters targeted Google’s private buses for employees, the company decided to experiment with providing ferries for its employees from San Francisco to Redwood City. Twitter’s Biz Stone finally pulled open the curtain on a project that has been in the works for some time: a question-and-answer app called Jelly that relies on the power of pictures and people. Lastly, Marissa Mayer unveiled Yahoo News Digest at CES on Tuesday, a news curator app that summarizes the most important news twice per day.
